Wageningen, the Netherlands Purpose-driven team player blending sustainable strategies with systems thinking, Honours BBA Graduate in Strategic Design and Management from Parsons School of Design in New York, self-starter with front-line experience with global giants, early stage social entrepreneurial contexts and NGO’s. A versatile global citizen having lived across thirteen countries, each experience has informed and transformed my design thinking sensibilities, broadened my worldview and kindled my path towards research in Ayurveda. Post-graduation after my BBA, I left with a fervent ambition to inspire a transition in thinking where organizations mindfully work towards circularity in value chains while integrating CSR practices. I seeked to associate with ventures who’s values aligned with my ethos, and considered their relation to the world with a holistic mindset. This led me to incubator markets such as Pune, India, where I worked on Strategy for an Ayurvedic wellness company and social enterprise that works with grassroots producers, farmers and microcredit women’s self-help groups in the Himalayan belt, enabling fair trade income generation. Over a four month period, I supported the incorporation of the Pure Purpose Foundation that seeks strategic alliances with corporates and institutions on socio-ecological impact initiatives such as carbon credits, health and sanitation programs to support their work with NGO, CBO and SHG partners in the pristine Himalayas. Now with an affinity for catalysing meaningful transformation, and an agility for conceptualizing insights to generate tangible impact-based outcomes, I am in the final stages of my postgraduate education in Biobased Sciences at Wageningen University. For my MSc thesis, I am pursuing a research that aims to capture a nuanced understanding of Ayurveda commodity chain dynamics from India to Europe, with a focus on herbal medicines and Panchakarma, where theoretical contributions are presented for how the wholeness of Ayurvedic structure and epistemology may be preserved as the knowledge system enters new localities. This research reaffirmed my ambition to become a resourceful practitioner in leading research inquiries for advancing the field of Ayurveda.
