THIRD YEAR SYLLABUS: AYURVEDA HEALTH CARE PRACTICE PROGRAMME (Course Duration - 10 months)

PREVENTIVE MEDICNE IN AYURVEDA (SWASTHAVRUTTHA)

MODULE I: PREVENTIVE MEDICNE IN AYURVEDA (SWASTHAVRUTTHA)​

6 days, 2 sessions

Dina charya & Ritucharya (DAILY REGIMEN & SEASONAL REGIMEN PROTOCOLS)
Asthanga Yoga (complete knowledge of Yoga ) : YOGA AS THERAPY FOR AYURVEDA: Skills of yoga therapy and human values in Life style Management
Concepts of Rasayana(Rejuvenation) and vajeekarana(aphrodiasic) and their clinical application in day to day practice.

Promotion of mental health
  1. Ayurvedic Management of psychological disorders like Insomnia or dementia Depression, bipolar disorder,anxiety neaurosis and alzheimers .
  2. Management of Autoimmune disordres like chron,s disease,Irritable bowel syndrome ,ulcerative colitis(Grahani And Parinama Soola) .
  3. Management of Rheumatological disorders like Rheumotoid Arthritis(Ama vata), Osteo Arthritis(Sandhigata vata) and Gouty arthritis(Vata raktha) .
  4. Management of lifestyle disorders like Diabetes(Prameha), Hyper tension and obesity(sthoulya).
  5. Acid peptic disorders like hyper acidity ,gastric ulcer and peptic ulcerManagement of Acid peptic disorders like hyper acidity ,gastric ulcer and peptic ulcer.
  6. Ayurvedic approach of Arbudha (Cancer) and its role in prevention and treatment of different cancers.

MODULE III : GYNECOLOGY AND PAEDIATRICS

3 days, 1 session

1St day-
  1. Introduction and terminology ,Concepts of sukra , Artava, Menstrual disorders- Menarche and Menopause amenorrhoea(anarthava), hypomenorrhoea, oligomenorrhoea, dysmenorrhoea(udavarta), (Raktha pradara) abnormal uterine bleeding and their management according to Ayurveda.
  2. Yoni vyapad : Fibroid uterus, PCOS, Pelvic infections, cervical erosion, pelvic inflammatory diseases

2nd day-

  1. Female infertility - Vandhyatwa (Infertility) – causes, types, investigations and management through Ayurveda and management of tubal blocks
  2. Common Drugs Used In Gynecological Disorders.
Herbs in menopausal syndrome and life style corrections
3rd day: Ayurvedic drug doses according to age,weight in children.

Vyadhikshamatva:
General concepts of Bala (Immunity) and methods of Immune enhancing in childBehavioral Disorders of Children, their management and counseling: Breath holding spell, Shayyamutra (Bed wetting), Pica, Unmada, Autism, ADHD (Attention Deficit and Hyperactive Disorders), Jadatwa (Mental retardation).
Other Common paediatric neurological problems and their management throug Ayurveda.
Ayurvedic approach of growth and devolopment issues and genetic disorders in children like cerebral palsy, Down’s syndrome etc.

MODULE IV: PULSE 2-DEEPENING & TONGUE ANALYSIS

MODULE V: SNEHANA Snehana, abhyantara, snehapana

3 days, 1 sessions

1St day-
  1. Etymology and definition of Sneha and Snehana (Oleation therapy)
  2. Types of Sneha, Qualitative utility of Sarpi (ghee), Taila (oil), Vasa (animal fat) and Majja (bone marrow)
  3. Different categories of Snehayonis (sources of sneha).
  4. Need of Rukshana (drying or anti oleation) before snehana and Samyak rukshana lakshanas (sign and symptoms of proper drying).
  5. Types of Snehana – Bahya and Abhyantara (external and internal oleation therapy)
Indications and contraindications for Snehana.
Sneha Procedures:
  1. Poorvakarma: Brief diagnosis of the person undergoing sneha and fixation of dose.
  2. Pradhana karma: Adminitration of Sneha & Anupana, Observation-
  3. Jeeryamana/Jeerna/Ajeerna/Asnigdha Lakshanas (sign and symptoms of sneha digested), Samyak Yoga (sneha completion), Ayoga/Atiyoga Lakshanas (excess or less),
  4. Pashchat karma: Pariharya vishaya (things to avoid while undergoing snehana)
  5. Vyapats (complication – short term long term)
  6. Diet and regimens during Snehana
Heat therapies(sweadana)
6 days, 2 sessions
  1. Allied or para pancha karma procedures been followed along with sneha and sweda for restoration of health and for applied pancha karma procedures.
  2. Limitations of procedures followed in Pancha karma accordingly in UK and Europe.
  3. Significance of other related cleansing techniques in contrast to traditional pancha karma applied for UK and Europe.
OTHER AYURVEDA THERAPIES-UDWARTANA,PINDASWEDHANA.

MODULE VI : CLINICAL PRACTICE

15 days
